How much does a marketing agency cost in Florida? Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa prices
Most Florida marketing agencies charge small and mid-size businesses about $1,000 to $15,000 a month in fees, plus ad spend. Clutch's Miami market data shows most agencies at $100 to $175 an hour with multichannel retainers of $3,000 to $15,000 a month, and Tampa listings mostly at $100 to $149 an hour. SEO alone commonly runs $500 to $5,000 a month, and paid ads management 10 to 20 percent of ad spend. What you pay depends on scope, the number of channels and whether you need Spanish content.
The short version
There are three prices to know: the agency fee, the ad spend and the one-time build. The fee pays people to plan, build and run the work. The ad spend goes to Google, Meta or another platform. The build covers a website, a CRM or tracking that is set up once.
Ask for all three as separate lines. If an agency quotes one number that blends the fee and the ad spend, you cannot tell how much of your money is actually buying customers.
What Florida agencies charge
Clutch, the agency review directory, publishes a cost summary for Miami. Most agencies there charge $100 to $175 an hour for ongoing consulting, offer monthly retainers of $3,000 to $15,000 for multichannel management, and sell project packages, like a website launch plus a 90 day ad push, starting around $10,000. Clutch names bilingual content as one of the things that moves the price.
Clutch's Tampa listings mostly show $100 to $149 an hour, with minimum project sizes from about $1,000 to $5,000 and up. We did not find a separate published summary for Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach or Boca Raton, but agencies there appear in the same directories at similar rates.
National surveys line up with that. An Ahrefs survey of 439 SEO providers found the most common monthly SEO retainer was $501 to $1,000, while 57 percent of providers charged more than $1,000 a month. Backlinko puts the average SEO cost at $1,000 to $2,500 a month. WebFX, a large agency that publishes its prices, lists digital marketing overall at $1,000 to $20,000 or more a month, SEO at $500 to $5,000, and paid ads management at 10 to 20 percent of ad spend or about $1,000 to $3,000 a month.
Price ranges by service
SEO and local SEO: about $500 to $5,000 a month. The low end is usually Google Business Profile work and a few pages. The high end is content, technical work and links in competitive markets like Miami or Tampa.
Paid ads management: 10 to 20 percent of ad spend, or a flat fee of about $1,000 to $3,000 a month for a typical small business account. The ad spend itself is separate.
Multichannel retainers that cover ads, SEO, content, email and reporting: $3,000 to $15,000 a month in Miami, per Clutch.
Websites and CRM builds: one-time projects. Clutch puts Miami packages that pair a site launch with ads at around $10,000 and up. A simpler service business site costs less, and a custom build costs more.
Spanish campaigns: expect to pay more for content and creative, because each language needs its own ads, landing pages and follow-up, not a machine translation.
What changes the price in Florida
Language. About two in three Miami-Dade residents speak Spanish at home, more than one in four in Broward and about one in four in Hillsborough, by US Census Bureau survey data. Doing two languages well means two sets of ads, pages and follow-up.
Season and storms. A roofer or restoration company needs storm campaigns built ahead and paused, plus extra follow-up capacity after a storm. A seasonal business in Palm Beach or Naples needs a plan that ramps up before November.
Competition. Big-metro searches like 'marketing agency Miami' or 'roofing company Tampa' have more companies bidding and ranking, so the same result usually takes more ad spend and more SEO work than in a smaller city like Pompano Beach or Fort Myers.
Rules. Florida contractors must show their license number in every ad, and roofers face limits on insurance claim marketing. An agency that already knows this saves you rework, and possible fines.
Ad spend: the other half of the bill
Ad spend is what you pay Google or Meta, and it is usually bigger than the fee. Lead prices vary a lot by trade, city and season. One 2026 dataset of about 3,400 Google Local Services Ads leads put national averages near $36 for electrical, $57 for plumbing, $66 for roofing and $76 for HVAC, while other trackers show roofing leads in big metros at $150 or more. Plan the budget around what a booked job is worth to you, not around a lead price.
Many growing service businesses end up spending 5 to 10 percent of revenue on marketing in total. Start with one channel, prove your cost per booked job, then add the next one.
What Scusa Media costs
Most clients we work with invest $2,000 to $6,000 a month in agency fees, plus ad spend, scoped to the business. Some start with a one-time build of the website, CRM and tracking. Every agreement is tailored to the business, and the ad accounts, CRM, domain and website stay in your name.

Questions people ask next
Is a Miami agency more expensive than a Tampa agency?
Published Clutch data puts most Miami agencies at $100 to $175 an hour and most Tampa listings at $100 to $149. The bigger cost driver is scope: how many channels, whether you need Spanish, and how competitive your service is in your city.
Should I pay a percentage of ad spend or a flat fee?
Either can be fair. Percentage fees, often 10 to 20 percent, grow with your budget; flat fees are easier to plan. Ask what is included and keep the fee and the ad spend as separate lines.
Do I need a Florida-based agency?
Not necessarily. Ads, CRM, websites and reporting work the same from anywhere. What matters is that the agency knows Florida: storm season, Spanish-speaking markets and the advertising rules for contractors. Ask for a plan that names your towns and your season.
What is a reasonable starting budget?
Enough to run one channel well and measure it: an agency fee in the low thousands a month plus enough ad spend to buy about 15 to 30 leads a month in your trade. Within 90 days you should know your cost per booked job.
