Florida marketing agency for contractors, service businesses and e-commerce
Scusa Media is a marketing agency for Florida businesses, with a specialty in contractors, home services and e-commerce. We build the whole system: Google and Meta ads, Local Services Ads, a website that converts on a phone, GoHighLevel CRM follow-up in English and Spanish, SEO for Google and AI search, and reporting in booked jobs. We are headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and serve Florida remote-first, from Miami and Fort Lauderdale up to Tampa and St. Petersburg, with visits as needed.
How we work in Florida
- Remote-first from Auburn Hills, Michigan. No Florida office: strategy calls on video, visits as needed, video shoots coordinated with your crew or a local shooter we book
- A plan for each market: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida buy differently
- English and Spanish campaigns, follow-up and review replies where the market calls for it
- Storm season and Florida advertising rules (license numbers, roof claim rules) built into every contractor plan

Why Florida needs its own playbook
Florida is not one market. About two in three Miami-Dade residents speak Spanish at home; in Pinellas it is fewer than one in ten. Tampa Bay keeps adding new neighborhoods, while Broward and Pinellas mostly repair and rebuild what is already there. A plan that works in Fort Lauderdale can waste money in Tampa.
The state keeps growing. Florida passed 23.3 million residents in 2025, up about 8.5 percent since 2020, and all of that growth came from people moving in, by University of Florida estimates. New residents need a roofer, an AC company, a dentist and a gym, and they find them on Google, on Maps and more and more in AI tools like ChatGPT. They have no old loyalties. The business that shows up first and answers fast wins them.
Weather runs the calendar. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30 and peaks around September 10. Seasonal residents fill Palm Beach, Naples and the Gulf beaches from about November to Easter. Each metro has its own busy months, so each one gets its own calendar.
Florida rules that change how contractors advertise
Florida contractors must show their state license number in each advertisement, regardless of medium, under section 489.119 of Florida law. Electrical contractors have the same rule under section 489.521. That covers Google ads, Meta ads, landing pages and truck wraps that show your company name. We put the number in every ad we build.
Roofers have extra rules. Section 489.147 bars ads that push homeowners to file a roof insurance claim, and bars gifts, cash, rebates or deductible waivers in exchange for an inspection or a claim. Fines can reach $10,000 per violation. Storm ads should talk about the inspection and the repair, never about getting the insurance company to pay.
Advertising contracting work without a license is a crime in Florida, and a felony for repeat offenses or during a declared state of emergency (section 489.127). If you are adding a new trade or a new county, get licensed before the ads go live. This is not legal advice; check current rules with your own counsel.
What a typical Florida campaign looks like
Month one is the foundation: tracking, a Google Business Profile with every service and service area, a CRM that texts every new lead within a minute, and landing pages for your top jobs, in Spanish where it pays. Then one paid channel goes live, usually Google Local Services Ads for urgent trades or Google Search for projects people research.
Months two and three add a second channel, often Meta ads with a seasonal offer, and start the SEO work: service pages, pages for the towns you serve, and review requests after every job. By day 90 you know your cost per booked job by channel, and you scale what works.
Google Local Services Ads are available in most of Florida for common home service categories. Google checks the state license for trades like roofing, HVAC, plumbing and electrical before approval, and since October 2025 every approved business shows one Google Verified badge. Reviews, response speed and distance decide who shows first.
South Florida and Tampa Bay
South Florida covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Our Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach pages go deeper on each market, including Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Jupiter. Bilingual follow-up, the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone building code and condo inspection deadlines shape the work here.
Tampa Bay covers Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Our Tampa and St. Petersburg pages cover Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel, Clearwater and the beach towns. Fast growth in the suburbs and the lessons of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024 shape the work there.
Southwest Florida: Sarasota, Fort Myers and Naples
We also work with businesses in Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples. Lee and Collier counties each grew about 10 percent from 2020 to 2025, by University of Florida estimates. Collier County planners counted about 376,000 permanent residents in 2020 and about 469,000 at the peak of the season, roughly a quarter more people in winter.
That makes Southwest Florida a seasonal market. Home services, med spas, restaurants and boat services get many of their customers between November and April. Campaigns there should ramp up before the seasonal residents arrive, and use the summer for reviews, website work and email to past customers.
Storms matter here too. Hurricane Milton made landfall at Siesta Key in Sarasota County in October 2024. Roofing, restoration and flood mitigation companies along this coast need a plan for storm years and quiet years alike.
GoHighLevel CRM for Florida businesses
We are a GoHighLevel partner agency. Most clients run their follow-up on a GoHighLevel CRM we build: missed-call text-back, instant replies to web and Meta leads, booking links, review requests, and a pipeline that shows which ad brought which job. The account is yours.
For Florida we add a language question in the first text, English or Spanish, and route the reply to the right person on your team. Our GoHighLevel for contractors guide shows what the setup includes.

Clutch's Miami market data puts multichannel agency retainers at $3,000 to $15,000 a month, and many Florida agencies on Clutch list minimum projects of $1,000 to $5,000 or more. Most clients we work with invest $2,000 to $6,000 a month in agency fees plus ad spend, scoped to the business. Every agreement is tailored. Our Florida agency cost guide breaks it down.

When should a Florida contractor start hurricane season marketing?
Plan it in March, run prevention offers in April and May, and have storm response campaigns built and paused before June 1. Our hurricane season guide covers what to run before, during and after a storm.
